Nico Taus is a graphic designer from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

He runs a design firm, Bureau, along with Frank Chartrand. He also sits on the board for the Sudbury Design Society.

Apart from designing, Nico is a lyricist and vocalist for Punk band Vicious Cycle. He has toured with the band extensively in Canada and the United States. Next year the band is set to embark on a month long tour in Europe. He is also working on his first book — a recent history of the Punk and Indie scene in Sudbury.

Before establishing his company, Nico was junior designer at 50 Carleton & Associates. He played an integral role in developing campaigns for companies such as NorthernTel and Télébec. He also learned how to be a team player while working under established designer Tony Jurgilas RGD.

He is a graduate of the Graphic Design program at the Cambrian College of Applied Arts and Technology. Through the teachings of Ron Beltrame RGD, Nico was taught the importance of critical design thinking.

He enjoys challenging himself to do projects differently and to approach each assignment with a unique and custom strategy. He believes that good design is smart, and not subject to trends or unnesessary decoration.
